Conceptualized by internationally renowned Australian designer, Marc Newson, the K-01 compact camera blends bold and unique styling with updated visual technology in order to create a sturdy yet stylish gadget.
- Thin vertical ridges lend to the impressive design while the rubberized finish imparts a good grip.
- A 3 inch, 921k-dot LCD monitor is located at the back that produces sharp, bright images.
- An external microphone port is placed on the side of the body.

- The K-01 uses a newly developed APS-C CMOS chip which produces in the default 3:2 aspect ratio, an effective output of 16.2 megapixels. It is possible to lower the resolution to 10 megapixels, 6 megapixels or 2 megapixels as well as change the aspect to 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9 according to requirement.
- From ISO 100 to 12,800 in standard mode, the camera sensitivity can be stretched to 25,600 in extended mode.
- Fitted with the latest generation of Pentax PRIME ‘M’ image processor. This allows the K-01 to shoot continuously at maximum 5 fps as well as capture 1080p Full HD movies at 30 fps.
- 11 custom image and 19 digital filter effects can be applied to movies as well as photos, pre- or post- capture.
- Able to record JPEG, Raw or simultaneous JPEG Raw images.
