Visual Basic, MS Word-HELP ME please?
Question by : Visual Basic, MS Word-HELP ME please?
On Sunday night 2 things happened with laptop. 1st: I saved a file to my desktop Saturday night-Sunday morning, file can’t be found. (I know that file can be found EVEN if I deleted something by mistake in the recycle bin). I took my computer to a shop-they said the file is currupted. So, they didn’t help me at all. (I was not charged).
2nd thing: I think this happed just before I took it in. I got into Visual Basic somehow. (It must have been a box that said, “to terminate the program click “YES” to debug the program, click “NO”. I clicked NO and Visual Basic came up.
Now, I don’t know what I did-but my file MENU is GONE! The tool bar is present with “Edit”, “View”, “Insert”, “Format”, “Tools”, “Window” and “Help”.
I run Windows XP and with Office Suite 2003 Small Business Edition. I don’t know if MS Office is currupt or not.
I restored my HP to Saturdays date (when I saved my file in MS Word)-that didn’t work!
I re-installed Office 2003 with the disk. HELP Please!
What I’m asking is, “How do I get the “FILE” Menu back? I need the “Save as” feature and print preview…

Try this:
1.Press ALT/V followed by ALT/T. A menu will pop up.
2.Select Customize at the bottom.
3.Click the Toolbars tab.
4.Select the “Menu Bar” item in the list box.
5.Click the Reset button.
6.Click OK for the verification dialog box.
7.Click Close.
Hopefully, that will do it.
